This is the largest multiple of either the 1840 1d. or 2d. known used on cover.
Large used blocks of One Penny Blacks are of great rarity, the postage on most heavy packages being paid by multiples of the Two Pence Blue, it was also the custom of the postal clerks to cut sheet into strips in readiness for the sale of single stamps.
